Ryu founder a Koka man, Sasaki Daigaku Ietsugu ( Takamasa ). Also called Ichijyo fuji ho, Ichijyo fuji ryu.

Mostly passed on in and around Owari province.

As an art mainly using hand grabs (hand fighting), it was called Goho or Koppo.

Centered on tegi ( Jutte ), Goho, Yawara, arrest techniques, it also includes swords, capture weapons ( Sasumata, Sode garami and Tsukubou ), Iai and Archery.
